柳を細やかに編み上げ、革のストラップと留め具で仕立てられています。
ころんとした丸みのある形と、やわらかな編み目。

小ぶりながら存在感があり、夏の装いによく似合います。
 
ヴィオレタさんとは、7年ほど前にポーランドのヤギエウォ祭で出会いました。
その時に購入したウィローバッグを、今でも愛用しています。
使うほどに柳の色艶が深まり、革も少しずつ馴染んでいきます。

昔のヨーロッパの暮らしの道具のような佇まいを持つバッグです。

Description
A willow basket bag made by Lithuanian basket artisan Violeta.
Carefully handwoven from willow and finished with leather straps and closures.
The softly rounded shape and delicate weaving give it a quiet presence despite its compact size.
It pairs beautifully with summer dresses and aged leather shoes.
I first met Violeta around seven years ago at the Jagiello Fair in Poland, and I still use the willow bag I bought from her then.
With time and use, the willow develops a richer patina and the leather softens naturally.
A bag that carries the feeling of old European household craftsmanship.
